Maëlle is multicultural, Colombian and French. They lived in the United States for fifteen years, in Mexico for fifteen years, and have traveled and lived in other countries. Currently, Maëlle lives in a tiny village in the South of Spain where they are working on hypnotherapy, peer counseling, building community projects, writing on diverse topics regarding culture and the human condition, illustrating and painting, and a decade-long career in translating.
