We’re celebrating our second anniversary with a Mexico Moments Photo Contest that kicks off on Sunday, September 16th, Mexico’s Independence Day and Expats In Mexico’s birthday.

The photo contest is designed to capture the very best Mexico Moments experience by expats in Mexico, aspiring expats who want to live in Mexico and travelers who visit this beautiful country.

You can submit the photo you feel best reflects what Mexico means to you by clicking on the Enter the Contest button at the top of each page, completing the Mexico Moments Photo Contest Entry Form and uploading your photo (JPEG format only). If you need to convert your photo to JPEG, here is a website that will do it for you for free.

The contest winner will receive a U.S. $300 Amazon gift certificate, second place a U.S. $200 Amazon gift certificate and third place a U.S. $100 Amazon gift certificate. Fourth through 10th place runner-ups will receive a signed copy of my book “Boomers in Paradise: Living in Puerto Vallarta.” We will also be doing an Expats In Mexico article on the winner of the contest and publicizing his/her work on our social media platforms.

The contest will begin Sunday, September 16th at 12:01 a.m. PDT and end Sunday, October 14th at 11:59 a.m. PDT. We will notify all winners on Monday, October 22nd via my Mi Vista blog and through our social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

You’ll also be able to follow the entries by clicking on our new Mexico Moments Photo Gallery in the navigation bar just as soon as we begin receiving photos.

Our Expats In Mexico team will do the judging based on originality, creativity, artistic merit, visual appeal and overall impression and impact.

Whether you use a smart phone or a sophisticated digital camera, we want you to enter our Mexico Moments Photo Contest. I’m sure everyone of you has one special photo that you feel captures the essence of Mexico.

Buena suerte!
