We’re kicking off our third anniversary with an I Love Mexico Photo Contest that starts today, September 16th, Mexico’s Independence Day and the day of our founding.

Now is your chance to show how much you love Mexico by entering our photo contest. If you are an expat living in Mexico, one of the thousands of aspiring expats who plan to move to Mexico or a frequent traveler to the country, submit a photo that best captures your love for Mexico and you could win a prize!

Submit the photo you feel best reflects your love for Mexico by clicking on Enter Contest in the navigation bar, completing the I Love Mexico Photo Contest Entry Form and uploading your photo (JPEG format only). If you need to convert your photo to JPEG, here is a website that will do it for you for free.

The contest winner will receive a U.S. $300 Amazon gift certificate, second place a U.S. $200 Amazon gift certificate and third place a U.S. $100 Amazon gift certificate. We will also be doing Expats In Mexico articles on the winners of the contest and publicizing their work on our social media platforms.

Cyndra Schultz from Playa del Carmen won first place last year with her gorgeous black and white photo of a Day of the Dead parade in Mexico City. Jaime Barbiery of Chapla won second place and third place went to Kristina Bakrovski from Los Angeles, a frequent traveler to Mexico and an aspiring expat.

The contest begins today, Monday, September 16th at 12:01 a.m. PDT and ends Sunday, October 13th at 11:59 a.m. PDT. Winners will be notified on Monday, October 21st via email, and we will publicize the winners through my Mi Vista blog and our social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. You’ll also be able to follow the entries by clicking on our I Love Mexico Photo Gallery in the navigation bar just as soon as we begin receiving photos.

Our Expats In Mexico team will do the judging based on originality, creativity, artistic merit, visual appeal and overall impression and impact. Whether you use a smart phone or a sophisticated digital camera, we want you to enter our I Love Mexico Photo Contest. Buena suerte!
