SUBSCRIPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS
The subscription rate published on our website when you first subscribe remains in effect for subscribers for the duration of the subscription period. If the rate changes, only new subscribers will be charged the new rate. If your account auto-renews, it will be the same rate as your initial subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by clicking on the Unsubscribe link on your My Account page. Your payment or any portion of your payment, however, will not be refunded if you choose to unsubscribe before your subscription term expires. Subscriptions are renewed automatically unless you click on the Unsubscribe link on one of the two reminder emails we will send you one week prior to your subscription end date, or the Unsubscribe link on your My Account page prior to the end date of your subscription.

GENERAL TERMS OF USE
If you choose to use EXPATSINMEXICO.COM (the “Site”), and EXPATS IN MEXICO’s applications, any of the features of this Site, including but not limited to RSS, API, software and other downloads (collectively, the “Services”), you will be agreeing to abide by all of the terms and conditions of these Terms of Use between you and EXPATS IN MEXICO (“EIM”, “us” or “we”).
By submitting material or content (the “Submission”) to EIM, you are promising that the content is original, does not plagiarize from anyone or infringe a copyright or trademark, does not violate anybody’s rights and is not libelous or otherwise unlawful or misleading. You are agreeing that we can use your Submission in all manner and media and that we also shall have the right to authorize third parties to do so. By using the Site you agree to the rules of our Terms of Service.
EIM will not sell, rent, lease or otherwise confer rights to you for your submission or license the submission for use to any other person, entity or company. EIM does not pay any royalty or fee for such use, however, it will credit each contributor submission with the contributors by-line or credit.
USER GENERATED CONTENT: COMMENTS, FORUMS, REVIEWS
You shall not upload to, or distribute or otherwise publish Submissions on to the Services any libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise illegal material. You agree that you will not threaten or verbally abuse other Members, use defamatory language, or deliberately disrupt discussions with repetitive messages, meaningless messages or “spam.”
You agree not to use language that abuses or discriminates on the basis of race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual preference, age, region, disability, etc. Hate speech of any kind is grounds for immediate and permanent suspension of access to all or part of the Services.
The Services shall be used only in a noncommercial manner. You shall not, without the express approval of EIM, distribute or otherwise publish any material containing any solicitation of funds, advertising or solicitation for goods or services.
USER-GENERATED CONTRIBUTOR SUBMISSIONS: STORY, PHOTOGRAPH, VIDEO
You acknowledge that any Submissions you make to EIM may be edited, removed, modified, published, transmitted, and displayed by EIM and you waive any rights you may have in having the material altered or changed in a manner not agreeable to you.
Photographs may be cropped and/or digitally enhanced in post-production and resized; Videos may be optimized and/or resized; Stories and articles may be edited according to the EIM editorial style and content guidelines and requirements. Every reasonable care will be taken to retain the composition, style and intent of the submission. EIM may remove the submissions from its websites without notification. EIM will credit each Contributor submission with the contributors by-line or credit.
You grant EIM the unlimited global advertising and promotional rights and usage in any and all print forms for an unlimited time and the rights to use the submission in all digital, electronic or other forms of its Advertising, Promotional, Public Relations, Corporate and Editorial content. Submissions made to EIM may also be included in our RSS feeds, APIs and made available for republishing through other formats.
You are solely responsible for the content of your Contributor Submissions. However, while EIM does not and cannot review every Contributor Submission and is not responsible for the content of these Contributor Submissions, EIM reserves the right to delete, move, or edit Contributor Submissions that it, in its sole discretion, deems abusive, defamatory, obscene, in violation of copyright or trademark laws, or otherwise unacceptable.
All right, title, and interest in and to the Services (excluding Submissions provided by users) are and will remain the exclusive property of EIM and its licensors. The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Nothing in the Terms gives you a right to use the EIM name or any of the EIM trademarks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features. Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you may provide regarding EIM, or the Services is entirely voluntary and we will be free to use such feedback, comments or suggestions as we think appropriate and without any obligation to you.
COPYRIGHTS
All images on EXPATSINMEXICO.COM and related EXPATSINMEXICO.COM webpages (collectively, “EXPATSINMEXICO.COM website”) are protected by United States and international copyright laws and treaties.
No re-use of content from EXPATSINMEXICO.COM is allowed without the expressed written consent of EXPATSINMEXICO.COM in advance of any re-use. Contact us at info@expatsinmexico.com for permission to publish in advance of publication of any content. We have specific guidelines to follow. If you do not contact us, we will consider you in violation of copyright laws.
EXPATSINMEXICO.COM and/or the various artists who provide content and/or Images to EXPATSINMEXICO.COM (“Contributors”) own or control all rights, including the copyrights in and to the Images. EXPATSINMEXICO.COM and/or its Contributors reserve all rights in and to the Images not expressly granted to you by the terms of these Terms of Use.
