Querétaro has two major highways that pass through it: Federal Highway 45 and Federal Highway 57. New freeways and roads are being paved, so driving in and out of the city should not be a problem for expats.
All forms of transportation are relatively cheap in Querétaro. For example, taxi fare on a business day for a 5-mile trip is about US$7, and Uber is also available.
For even less money, use the local bus system. QROBUS is the state’s public bus system and has 74 routes and over 1,600 stops that can get you anywhere you need to be in the city. The fare is 11 pesos for a general trip and 5.50 pesos for a transfer ride.
Querétaro’s International Airport, which was built in 2004, is located on the outskirts of the city. In addition to Aeromexico, Volaris, Interjet and other domestic airlines, major airlines from the U.S. and other countries also provide service.
