Real estate prices in San Miguel de Allende have been rising over the last decade as more and more expats discover its beauty and charm, making homes in the city more expensive than many other places in Mexico.

If you plan on renting an apartment in San Miguel, a one-bedroom unit in the center of town is about US$683. A one-bedroom apartment outside of the downtown area is about US$392. If you need more space, a three-bedroom apartment downtown is about US$1,608. Outside of city center, a three-bedroom apartment usually rents for around US$767. These costs are averages and could be higher or lower, depending on the property rented.

Although San Miguel de Allende has no Multiple Listing Service (MLS), you can find apartments, condos and houses for rent or sale on the local Craigslist website.
